Data Protection
1. Data Controller
MessageRelay Digital Academy, located at 105-9, Gung-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, Korea, is the controller of personal data collected through message-relay.digital and enrollment processes. Contact: privacy@message-relay.digital.
2. Categories of Data Collected
We may collect identity data (name, email), contact data (phone, company), technical data (IP address, browser type), usage data (pages visited), and enrollment data (course selections, payment status via offline invoicing).
3. Purposes of Processing
Data is processed to deliver courses, respond to inquiries, improve site performance, send operational notices, and meet legal obligations. Marketing emails require opt-in where required by applicable law.
4. Legal Basis
Under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of Korea, we rely on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests (site security and analytics where opted in), and legal obligations as applicable.
5. Retention
Inquiry records: up to 24 months. Enrollment and billing records: up to 5 years per commercial and tax requirements. Analytics cookies: per Cookie Preferences. You may request earlier deletion subject to legal holds.
6. Third-Party Sharing
We use processors for hosting, email delivery, and analytics (only if you opt in). We do not sell personal data. Transfers outside Korea occur only with appropriate safeguards and disclosed subprocessors.
7. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable. Contact privacy@message-relay.digital. You may lodge a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) in Korea.
8. International Transfers
If data is processed on servers outside Korea, we implement contractual clauses and security assessments consistent with PIPA requirements. Details available on request.
9. Security Measures
We apply encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and staff training. No method is perfectly secure; report suspected incidents promptly to security@message-relay.digital.
10. Children’s Privacy
Services are directed to adults and learners 16+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14 without parental consent. Contact us to remove such data if discovered.
11. Policy Changes
We will post updates with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice where required.
